Free Medical Caravan for Heart Disease Screening in Ksar el-Kebir

Over the weekend, residents of Ksar el-Kebir benefited from a specialized medical caravan offering free screenings for heart and artery diseases. Organized by the Ksar el-Kebir Doctors' Association in collaboration with the regional health delegation and an international clinic in Tangier, the campaign provided over 400 free check-ups to the community, which lacks a public cardiologist.

Dr. Benouna Abdelhamid, president of the Ksar el-Kebir Doctors' Association, highlighted the successful response from the community, emphasizing that the initiative aimed to address the city's medical specialty shortages. He noted, "The city does not have a permanent public cardiologist."

The two-day event was well-coordinated, thanks to the collaboration of local health authorities and allowed around 20 medical staff, including doctors and nurses, to provide essential services. Hamza Aloui, director of health care at the Tangier International Clinic, confirmed that similar initiatives are planned for the coming months.

Beneficiaries praised the quality of services, especially the electrocardiogram (ECG) screenings, stating that this initiative significantly reduced the need to travel to neighboring cities for necessary examinations.
